The Red Thread

The Red Thread is a contemporary jazz quartet of musicians from Malmö (Sweden) and Leipzig (Germany). The four met during pianist Felix Lopp’s study-abroad program in Malmö and quickly noticed a shared musical aesthetic. After spending countless hours together in the practice room, the band emerged with its debut album, “The Red Thread”. The songs were composed together by all four musicians and are heavily rooted in the jazz tradition, while also allowing space for a quick excursion into Scandinavian folk music or modern pop.
